So, went to Lake Rabun this weekend with our dear friends the Mitchells, and little sis decides she is going to scare her Mom half to death. Not only did she JUMP off a two story dock, I am not kidding, she learned to EASY SKI!!!!!!! How funny is this picture. She stood up immediately and showed everyone in the boat just how big of a girl she is. Of course, I almost had a heart attack the entire time but she was, in a word, fearless. Walker rocked the easy ski too, I am figuring out how to send a picture from my phone so I can upload it. Stay tuned!!!

Walker is done with his morning out program and is off to preschool starting in the fall. What a big boy! We are so proud of him. The teacher said Walker was the best at sharing she had ever seen. She then asked what he learned in school and he replied, "Sharing." Everyone giggled.

No excuses, so I am not even going to apologize! I have been a busy girl! Lots of summertime activities have started. We completed our first season of t ball. Loads of fun. I was the team Mom for the first time and thought the experience to be, well, fun. I won't be team Mom next season, I want to sit in the stands and enjoy games. Walker is excelling in athletics, imagine that. He would hit the daylights out of the ball, and when he was in the field he would shout, "HIT IT TO ME!!!". So stinking cute. He is taking an advanced gym class at the Little Gym, with just two other kids. The teacher asked us if he could join them and they are really learning some cool stuff. Walker left the class sweaty. They were doing plank push ups. No joke.

Amelia is just in a word.....delicious. Oh, she is so smart and loves to talk. She tells us "stories"
about a princess and a dragon biting her hiney. Whatever. She makes us laugh and is for the most part an agreeable child. Some days, not so much but who isn't? She is going to do swim lessons for the first time this summer and will start ballet in the fall. Oh how fun!

Sweet little swimming babies. Walker is taking swimming lessons and is really becoming quite the little fish. Amelia thinks she can swim, but she cannot. Try telling her that. She is becoming chatty, and can pretty much tell you what she wants. Lots of giggling from these two. I would love for this fun stage to last forever.

Pictures from the annual Powell Easter Egg Hunt! We have been so lucky to go for the past two years. Walker always has a blast and this year so did Amelia! They hid over 7,000 eggs. Seriously. It must take weeks to prepare, and we certainly appreciate their effort. Walker was a little timid at first, but after he got his first few eggs, he was off! Amelia keep taking the same eggs and putting them in and out of her basket. Walker helped her get a few extra eggs, what a great big brother!

I am totally embarassed that is has taken me this long to post pictures from little sis's party. I guess it is true what they say about the second. Amelia is such a diva. Loved all the attention and everyone was very generous to her on her first birthday. She loved her cake that Hootie made, and all of her family made it from Alabama. She loved that the most! Things my one year old is doing now: she shows everyone her tummy and giggles. She pretend burps then cracks up.(This one is my favorite, I wonder how she learned it?) Signing for more food, which she does quite well. She is RUNNING. Not walking. She plays hide and seek with Walker who she calls "Dall-der". She also is a total Daddy's girl, which is just fine with me. I am pretty fond of the man myself......

Walker's birthday was so much fun. Sorry for the delay in posting, I didn't have my pictures until today. Walker's three, and it was a blast. We had his party up in Roswell at the JumpZone. Totally fun, and very easy. Lots of friends showed up, but we did miss a few. Walker is now a complete chatterbox and I am loving having conversations with him. He is saying the funnest things to me. His imagination is just over the top. Lots of pretending that he is a dog, bear, dinosaur, you name it. He "pushed" Amelia, and she fussed, then started playing. I sternly told Walker that we don't push, and he said to me, "Awww, Mommy. Sister is fine. Sister is playing, she is happy. Don't be mad at me....Okay". Well, okay then.

Pictures from Christmas time....more to post once I upload them. Walker and Amelia did very fine for themselves this year in the presents category. Everyone was extremely generous to our two wonderful children. So far, Walker is wearing out his memory game. He is AWESOME!!! The kid remembers almost every time. No help from Mommy needed! Amelia is growing at an astounding rate, walking a few steps then falling back down. She is sooo funny! She definitely will be our little comedian. She cracks us all up with her little fake laugh she has developed. Walker continues to talk more and more and I am gaining so much more into what his little mind is thinking about. He and I went on a date together to the Children's Museum. I will have to post pics once I charge my camera. Hope everyone has had a fabulous Christmas time!! The best time of the year!

We went to see Santa a while back and didn't have much luck getting an in action picture. Amelia busted in to major tears when I sat her on Santa's lap. NO THANK YOU! She did not want anything to do with him. I can't blame her. Walker did much better by talking to Santa from a safe distance next to Daddy. He told Santa he wanted a crane and a firetruck, which is a wonderful thing because that is what he is getting.

At the end of my parents' street are a ton of goats....billy goats, Mommy goats, baby goats (Walker calls them Sister Amelia goats). And, they are happy to be fed by anyone who drives by. They are definately the best fed goats in Georgia. Hal, the owner, gave us some sweet feed to give to them and they loved it!

We had a totally fun night despite the dampening rain. Walker dug Halloween. After he said "trick or treat", he said..."THANK YOU!!!!" and then said, Okay Mommy, another house, more candy....So quickly he caught on. Amelia really was cute, hanging tight with Daddy under the umbrella. She looked on as big brother scored the candy. She'll be tagging along soon enough.

Sorry for the long delay in posting. It is a busy time of year(when isn't it?) and we have been really cruising right along. Walker and Amelia are just simply adorable. Walker is completely potty trained, although he does occasionally have an accident. He is talking in complete sentences, and while I was watching Oprah in his playroom, he wanted to watch George so he told me..."Mommy, go somewhere else and watch Ree-Bee(tv)." Okay.

Amelia says Da-Da and Dadddeee. Really cute. She is totally crawling, not too fast, but can cross the room in no time. She will also pull up on anything that stands still, and lets go once she is standing. I tell you, she will be walking in no time. She is such a littl girl, cries when you hurt her feelings, which Walker just stares at her like "what did I do?".

Both of the kids (Walker and Jonathan ;) ) are excited about Halloween. Walker will be a dragon and Amelia will be a princess that he protects. Walker pushed for Caillou, but I just couldn't do it. So, I told him to be a Caillou Dragon and he said okay.

How fun is my Daddy?

Sorry for the long delay in posting. We are all doing great. Walker has fully bloomed into the outgoing child that we all knew he would be. He is talking sooo much I can finally carry on a somewhat conversation, which is so fun. He is singing songs and does the teapot dance. He is loving school and misses his friends when he is not there. He just went to Alabama to visit his grandparents and cannot stop talking about how much fun he had. He needs to go and visit more often. Amelia is really growing as well. She tried peas today and loved them....naturally.
She has been coughing a lot but hopefully we are on the mend. Today she didn't cough as much as she has been and she even got checked out by the doctor who said it was a cold. No fever thank goodness. Walker got his flu shot and I was TERRIFIED about it! But he was amazing...just a mild protest and then...get this....NO TEARS. Just got his band-aid and went on his way. Awesome. I gave him an Elmo cupcake as a reward. Yummy!

We are just truckin right along these dog days of summer. Amelia is fantastic. Rolling over from back to tummy, sitting up for around 15 minutes all by herself. Good girl! She also has two teeth, her bottom center. She is starting solid foods and I am hoping to wean her to formula next week. I am tired of being a cow.

Walker is potty trained!!!! He hasn't worn a diaper in almost two weeks, but he wears a pull up at night. He is AWESOME about peeing...not so much with the pooping but it will come with time. I am trying to be patient but it is time consuming and a little frustrating on both our parts. He started school on Tuesday and stayed dry the whole day and loved getting to play with all of his friends. I am hoping for a fun filled school year!

Jonathan and I are sneeking away for a romantical weekend in a few days....We haven't left Amelia overnight yet, so I am hoping to be alright leaving her. I realize I need to, for both of us.

So I know I wasn't suppose to start solid foods until later, but my little girl is starving. Every time she saw someone put some food to their mouth, she opened her little mouth like a baby bird. So a little rice cereal wouldn't hurt, right? She DEVOURED it! Before I even had my spoon full her mouth was open and drooling with anticipation. That's my girl!

Walker is talking more and more and is really just a delight. He is becoming way more independant with lots of "Walker do it, Mommy." I love it!

Good morning.....sweet peas.

Sorry for the long delay....my camera was at my parents for too long. Lots of fun summer activities are going for the Glasscox clan. Walker is enjoying the pool to the max! And so is his sister. Both are swimmers and love being in the water. Walker has graduated to water wings and jumps off the diving board as long as someone is floating below to catch him. He has started talking a lot more and just the other night he was eating my dinner and telling me he wanted more because "Walker is hungreee". He sings songs about all of us made up to his own beat. He is a pretty funny kid. He is loving his sister and I can trust him more with her without the fear of a little love "nip" or "tap". We have been to the beach a couple of times and we are headed back to Tybee this time with my family, which we are excited about. Apparently Miley Cyrus is staying down the street from our friend Nancy and she has been seen several times in the back river on her skidoo. I'll post pics if we do spot her.

Amelia is truckin right along. She is 97% for weight, 90% for both height and head circumference. She is eating like a champ of course, but the doc said to wait on solids till she is 6 months. She doesn't need anything extra God love her.... She is a talker(go figure)!!! She is constantly babbling about something. Lots and lots of coos. Walker keeps saying "Amelia's talking! SHHHH! Sister Amelia!" Too cute.

Summertime fun!

Amelia went swimming for the first time this Memorial Day. Of course she is like her brother, a little fish when it comes to pool time. She just cooed and smiled. She loved the water. She is sleeping thru the night (awesome) from around 10 to 6:30. I couldn't ask for more. She eats right when she wakes up, burps, diaper change and back to bed till about 8:30. Love it. She has rolled over a couple of times and is starting to get the hang of her exersaucer. She is so stinking cute she makes me want to have a dozen. But I know better!

I am an AUNT!!! My wonderful brother, his wife Susie and Taylor welcomed their first child, Charles Parker Suggs at 12:58 pm today. He is sweet, and quiet and perfect... all 8.3 lbs of him. He has lots of hair, light brown, and was super alert right from the start. He just checked out his whole family....this kid is seriously surrounded by love.....And.....We share the same birthday!!! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would have a birthday buddy, but I do now.

Walker and Amelia are doing great!!! She is being a super baby at night and sleeping six hour stretches. I wake up way before she does....what a blessing. Walker is starting to be even funnier than I could have ever imagined, and more loving. He just hugged me tonight and kissed me, which he demands by saying "Mooch". With puckered lips. How can I resist? I was in another room and he walked in with puckered lips and I bent down and kissed him. He promptly turned around and walked right back out....without saying a word to me. So cute.

He can even say I love you now, with some guidence from Mommy, but it is as clear as a bell.

LOVING my new sister....can you tell? Walker thought he was such a big boy since he got to hold Amelia all by himself. He was overjoyed! He is getting so independent, running and skipping all about. Now that there is a newborn around, you realize how big your "little" one is...

Amelia is growing like a weed...12.3 lbs, 22 inches, 90% and 80% respectively. Going about 3 hours between feedings during the day so I am starting to get a little more done. I am thinking I am going to go back to work a little earlier than I had anticipated, probably next month mid April. Just one day during the week, which will give me and the kids a break from one another! I think it is great for them to spend time with their Grandparents without me there. I think that different parenting styles only help to make your child behave better. At least I think so!

So now that I have a little girl, I am beginning to understand why some Moms dress their kids in several outfits a day. This pink ensemble has the cutest little bloomers...who knew clothes could be so much fun! I have to make sure she wears all of the cute clothes that Aunt Sally loaned us, so I am changing her throughout the day. One way she is definitely like her momma is that she loves baths....she just looks and looks around and loves being sprayed with the sprayer. I see a lot of time devoted to tubtime in our future! She is eating and sleeping well and big Brother adores her still. We are lucky!

Amelia's new home....Walker proof, out of his sight, safest spot in the house. Yep, we have a sink baby. Walker has also decided to revisit his toys...seems now that a baby is using them, he has decided to use them too. Walker also decided to become the world's messiest eater since Amelia came around. So fun! I am adjusting to having two, but it is definitely challenging. I am nursing Amelia, and she is doing great! We went to the pediatrician today for a weight check to make sure she is getting enough with each feed, and she had gained 6 oz in six days, and now weighs 10lbs 2 oz. So I am excited, but we still have to go back on Monday for another check. Let's hope she is big enough and they won't have to recheck her.

Oh my Goodness! Our "little" girl arrived at 8:02 am on Monday morning....weighing in at a hefty........drum roll please.......10 lbs 6.4 oz!!!!! YIKES! I am glad that I went for the c-section. All is well, and we are home. Because she was so large, she required a little more monitoring in the intermediate nursery so I was only able to see her at certain hours and she couldn't come to the room with us. I was way sad about that. It is hard enough with your crazy emotions to have a child let alone not get to see her. My heart goes out to all the moms with babies in the NICU. It is brutal, and mine was only in there for 2 days and nights. She is big and beautiful and eating like a monster....every four hours and then sleeps soundly. I wasn't able to nurse her so I have been pumping, but the neonatalogist said..."Good luck nursing her, that will be like taming a bucking bronco. She doesn't act very lady like when she is mad." Well, at least she comes by it honestly.

Walker is confused, but is adoring his new little sister. I missed him terribly, and now that we are home, he is petting her and kissing her like crazy. I was too emotional to take pics of their first meeting, but my dad took a ton. Once I get them, I will post!

I am posting this bright and early as we are soon to be headed to the hospital....Yeah! We get to meet our little girl. Seems that I thought she was coming on Valentine's, I was contracting regularly and having a lot of back pain with each one. The doc sent me to the hospital, looked at my monitor strip, called what I was doing some weird word and offered to section me that night. Jonathan and I both thought it would be better to wait till this morning and stay with the original plan as long as the Doc agreed. She did, she said Amelia looked beautiful on the monitor. She couldn't be any better, so that made us feel more comfortable about keeping the original date. So, the c-section is at 8 am, feel free to leave your guesses regarding her weight! It should be interesting to see what she weighs in at. I will update with pictures as soon as possible!

I had seen these utensils that had construction vehicles on them from another blog of a friend of mine from college. Her little man is a week older than Walker and isn't a big eater so she hoped that tractors and bulldozers would inspire him to eat. I thought they were awesome, but I didn't get them for him in the end. But Papa did!!!! He saw them in a store and had to have them for his little buddy. Walker loves them, and shovels in his morning grits. Thanks Papa!

Walker's big day!!! Lots of wonderful people came to celebrate our little boy's birthday. It just reminds us how blessed we are to have everyone able and willing to come and celebrate his second birthday. Some people traveled hours and other just minutes, but everyone was greatly appreciated. It seems birthdays will be met with a weird mix of happiness and sadness as it is strange to watch your child grow, and I feel silly when I think, "Oh, this time two years ago, I was.....".

Lots of fun for our little Walker. Hootie and Papa took him to Kangazoom which is just like Monkey Joe's. I took him there a long time ago right after he started walking, and he had a blast. So needless to say, this time around he really rocked it! He was jumping, playing and running from jumpy to slide back to jumpy. He was all over the place. My parents got quite the work out! Both of them were sweating bullets by the end of the afternoon. I am grateful that they got to take him there seeing as my pregnancy would be somewhat of a factor in preventing me from jumping on a moonwalk. Speaking of Amelia, she is set to arrive February 16th at 8:00am. Another c-section. Looks like she is measuring almost 3 weeks ahead of schedule, weighing in at a hefty 6 lbs, 12 oz. Yikes. She is a big girl. What can I say, Jonathan and I make big babies. Big, beautiful, sweet babies. Thank God for that!!!!

More Christmas pictures! We are gearing up for Walker's birthday...I am floored that he is turning two, I still can't believe he is my little man now. I have been trying to come up with fun activities for his party, but it is hard to think of things to keep a group of two year olds entertained....I think we are going to have an inflatable ball pit shaped like a space ship and MAYBE a surprise visit from a fire truck....but let's keep that to ourselves for now...

Lots of fun this time of year. Walker really understood the act of present opening and by the end of this past week, he was an expert. Walker had so much fun with his cousins from North Carolina and his cousins from Alabama. We ate and ate and ate....ugh. Amelia is growing and growing. Her favorite time to move is in the evening, so it seems she might be a night owl. Walker is still in love with babies, so hopefully his loving nature will translate to Amelia once she gets here. I am pretty much over being pregnant, just a few more weeks to go, so I can do it for sure. Walker has two new friends, Riley Jane May and Ryker Steven Kohler. Riley came right before Christmas, and Ryker was born today. Congrats to both sets of parents, we are looking forward to loving and watching your little ones grow!

Walker just finished his last week before Christmas break at his mother's morning out program. They had a Christmas Party complete with a bouncy jumpy thing. Walker said Jump! about 20 times on the way home, so needless to say it was a big hit. We celebrated his last day with a cookie that he decorated himself. I asked him if he wanted m&m's, his answer, Yeeeeaaaah! Sprinkles? Yeaaaah! Icing? Yeeeeaaah! He had fun decorating and even more eating!

Well, I was called off work for the first four hours, I was originally scheduled for 3-11. So, Jonathan and I took advantage of my time off and took lil tater to the park. It was cold! He had a blast going down the slide and running around. Jonathan and I could hardly keep up with him. Walker is getting into the Christmas spirit, he can say "Merry Christmas" or something like it, and LOVES to say "ho, ho, ho". He thinks our Christmas tree is sheer awesomeness. Every morning we find all of the cool ornaments, like the dump truck, Elmo, race car and the choo-choo train. He has yet to see Santa, but it is on the agenda. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Grandmother was very generous to our sweet Walker this year, as she always is! She got him this awesome motorcycle!!!!! She ordered it last weekend while she was here to visit, and it came tonight right as Walker was getting in the bath. Daddy put it together and I have been in Hog-Heaven ever since!!! Check me out!! Walker learned how to wash his own hair. How funny. He is getting to be such a little boy. Pregnancy is going well, she is growing and growing. Reading to Walker is getting more challenging since the room in my lap is being consumed by my growing belly. Things that Walker is doing:

We love Halloween....it is the most fun holiday. When else do you dress up in some fun costume and get free candy. Walker really enjoyed tonight, he was quite the lil lion. He says trick or treat or something kind of like it, and he said thank you to everyone who gave him something. He realized after the second or third house what the concept was, and he threw his hands over his head and screamed! He was super excited...

Sorry for the delay in posting...we just spent some much needed days away at Tybee....The weather was so so but the company was fantastic. I haven't laughed that much in years......I laughed so hard I cried on several occasions. Walker was a SUPER baby. He was so patient with all of us disrupting his schedule. He was a true trooper. Papa took over a thousand pictures, yes, as thousand. Walker fed seagulls and ran down the beach and played in the surf. The first words out of his mouth each morning were "beach...Papa...caw-caw" . He wanted his beach, his Papa and all of the birds. Walker's hair is crazy as ever, I am trying to find a haircut that works for him and keeps everyone who wants the curls to stay happy. I brushed it and got this look. Walker laughed and laughed at himself in the mirror and said..."Mommmmmy" Like, come on.

One of us was going to be unhappy at the end of this weekend....and in my pregnant state, I guess it benefits me the most since I am starting to care less and less about football. But like I told my Mom, either way I benefit at the outcome of UGA vs Bama...either I am happy that the dawgs won (didn't happen) or I am benefiting from a happy husband(elated). So it truly is a win/win situation.

Walker LOVES to climb, and from what I hear he got that trait from his father. Walker will climb anything, and just to prove our point, here are some pics of him in our old entertainment center...he is keeping me so busy! I also got my first piece of artwork from Walker's school. His sweet handprints! I just cried and cried when I found it in his bag. He even showed me how he did it. Oh, so cute!

Lots of fun! Jules and her daughter Cecilia met us at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for a little adventure. The garden is amazing, I highly recommend taking little ones there if you have the opportunity. The weather was perfect and so was the company. Walker and C had so much fun together and to tell the truth, so did their Mommies. The pregnancy is coming along great, I go to the doctor for my 20 week scan soon, so we get to see her again. She is moving more and more which is fun. Walker likes to kiss my tummy and say baby, he has no clue though! He is talking more and more and this morning he started the day off by reminding me that Daddy killed a fly on the couch. He ran over to the same spot and said, "Daddy....bug....yuck." He is so funny!

You have gotta love modern technology! At our 12 week scan, they were able to tell us first and foremost that our baby was healthy and super active. This kid would not cooperate with the tech, she spent 15 minutes on what should have taken 2. That should have clued me in to what they were about to tell me next.....IT IS A GIRL!!!!! Yikes, I am going to have my hands full....That is if she is anything like me, but if she inherits her father's personality, we are set!

Big day in the Glasscox household.....Walker's first day of school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe the first day was here this morning. I shot out of bed, packed his bag, fixed his breakfast and eagerly awaited Walker waking up. Well, 8:20 rolls around so I go upstairs and wake him up. After a great breakfast, it was picture time....so cute. Then off to the Church. Walker yelled "yeah! yeah!" once we pulled into the parking lot. I told him he was going to see his teacher to which he squealed "Teacher!". Then to his classroom where he told Ms.Renee "Hi" and willingly went to her open arms....a little glance back to Mommy, but that was it...no tears, except from me. What a big boy.....

Finally!!!!!!! Some new pics! We took Walker to Hilton Head in July for his first beach trip and the kido loved it! We also got to hang out with Amanda and her family, Kim , Jeff and lil Gaines....It was a far cry from college times but so much fun! Walker really loved the ocean despite being sick with a sore throat and fever. He was a trooper!

Oh goodness, Walker is getting super brave. We played with Melanie's kids at Hootie and Papa's pool, and once Walker saw them play, it was on. From that moment he was swimming, and swimming BY HIMSELF!!!!! No help from us is allowed although we do follow him closely as he floats and kicks in the pool. So big, so fun!

We had such a good time today, first, lunch with Hootie, Papa and GigiPa. Then we all went to the Children's Museum in downtown. There was so much for me to do! I fished with a pole, played with sand and drove a big tractor. It was awesome. I have a feeling when I get older, I am going to really love this place! Thank you to GiGiPa for treating us to such a wonderful day....the best part was hanging out with you!

My last day of gym class....I graduated and got myself a medal. Very exciting!

I learned how to do a forward roll, walk on a balance beam and hang on the uneven bars. I will have to do this class again I had so much fun! My Mommie's friend Jaime her baby and we are so happy.....it is a boy! James Robert Foster. Someone for me to wrestle and play with, when he gets older of course! We can't wait to meet him. Congrats Jaime and Harry!

I got a new camera for my birthday, so I have been testing it out. I finally got a connection cable yesterday so now I am able to post. We are having a blast enjoying all of the wonderful sunny days, we also have been to the aquarium again. We went with our bestest bud Ellie, and about every other elementary school in Atlanta. YIKES!!! I do NOT recommend the Aquarium on a Friday morning. We are going to see Grandmother and Grandbobby this weekend, so we will have plenty of pics soon.

Walker is totally ready to start swimming....we put him in the hot tub and he just was beside himself with fun. He pitched a royal fit that he couldn't go in the big pool....I foresee a lot of swimming this summer!

Feeling a little cabin feverish with all the pollen and what not, we got a bit of a break from the dreaded yellow haze after last night's rain. Walker and Daddy were quick to invent laundry basket sledding. Slightly redneck, no? But so FUN!!!!!!! Phoebe and Stella wanted to join in the fun too but they just chased behind the boys.

So the T in T-Ball stands for try, right? We are trying to learn how to hit the ball off the T. It is never to early to start... or maybe it is. Walker went to gym class today and had a blast learning to tumble and roll over. Lots of running away from Mommy, then looking around and seeing Mommy, and then running back to her. I guess he wants his independence, but then really wants his Mommy!

After the sad pictures, I thought I would post some more on a happier note. Walker can eat with a spoon and fork now! He is a big boy! He still has a time putting the food on the spoon/fork so I still help out. You can tell by the pictures his appetite is returning. Yeah!
